Ralph Lawrence, the visionary founder and CEO of RL Technologies, has carved a name for himself as one of the Southern Panhandle's most astute restaurant consultants. With over 23 years in the restaurant and retail industries, Ralph's journey began in his father's kitchen when he was just nine years old. The legacy of service ran deep in his family, with his grandfather owning 13 grocery stores before him. The pulse of retail and restaurants was the only rhythm Ralph knew, a rhythm that upsurged when he ascended to the role of general manager at Colorado's largest sports bar. Yet, a twist of fate—a car accident that sidelined him for nine months—shifted Ralph’s trajectory from managing restaurants to empowering those who owned them.

 

The catalyst for RL Technologies was a simple yet profound observation: too many restaurant owners and general managers were making poor decisions because they were misinformed, ill-advised, or operating outside their comfort zones. Ralph saw a gap, and where others might have seen chaos, he saw opportunity. With just $300, Ralph founded RL Technologies in 2018 in Pensacola, Florida. What started as a modest venture has since evolved into an international powerhouse in merchant services and business consulting, specializing in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems for all industries.

 

From designing restaurant menus and kitchen layouts to implementing cutting-edge software solutions, RL Technologies is the epitome of full-service. But Ralph’s vision didn’t stop there. Recognizing the rising cost of labor, he ventured into robotics, offering autonomous robots to reduce employee expenses—a bold move that positions RL Technologies at the forefront of industry innovation. The company’s growth has been nothing short of meteoric. From door-to-door beginnings to handling integration projects across Germany, India, and Portugal, RL Technologies now serves some of the largest nightclubs, bars, and fine dining establishments in the world. Their partnerships are as diverse as they are impressive, ranging from vending machine manufacturers in California to a crypto currency fintech headquartered in Lisbon, Portugal.
