As a partner with the Chase Sensale Law Group, L.L.P., Joseph F. Sensale (“Joe”) enjoys over twenty years of distinguished law experience successfully representing clients in securing social security, workers’ compensation, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, unemployment insurance, retirement and the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund benefits.

Chase, serve as Disability Counsel to the twenty six member units of the prestigious Nassau Police Conference while also representing members of the law enforcement community throughout New York State.  Joe regularly argues before the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, and the Court of Claims.

In February 2019, the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund announced they planned cutting payouts in half for some recipients and reducing payouts by as much as 70 percent for others, as the fund faces a surge in claims ahead of its expiration date in December 2020.  The Fund, which was opened in 2011, compensates all of victims and their families for deaths and illnesses due to exposure to toxins at the sites of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

As tireless and committed advocates for victims of September 11th, Joe and his partner at the Chase Sensale Law Group are spearheading an intense effort to obtain full and permanent funding for the victims of September 11th. They represent many clients and their families who have been severely and traumatically affected by September 11th  and continue to strenuously advocate for the maximum benefits for victims and their families. The firm is extremely dedicated and focused on securing permanent and full funding for all eligible members of the Fund.

As the treasurer of the New York Workers’ Compensation Alliance, the foremost political action committee preventing adverse changes in legislation affecting the rights of injured workers, Joe and the members of the Alliance work incessantly and tirelessly apprising members of the State Assembly and Senate of potential pitfalls of pending legislation.  They are dedicated to serving the needs of injured workers throughout New York State by providing valuable information to those responsible for effectuating change in Albany.

Joe’s professional motto is, “the time is now.”  He explains, “The time for change is always now.  Always focus on making an effort and making changes happen immediately. Our mission is to always effectuate change immediately.”

Joe previously served as co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association.  He has lectured before the Police Conference of New York and continues to be published in several industry newsletters including, The Suffolk Lawyer.

Joe is an active member of the St. John’s University School of Law’s Loughlin Society as well as a member of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association, Columbian Lawyers Association of Kings County, and the Catholic Lawyers’ Guild.  In addition to his professional affiliations, Joe and his firm support numerous charitable organizations including Carol M.
