Phillip Cooper

Phillip Cooper’s dedication to his clients has deep roots over his 30+ year career. Phillip has raised capital for clients, advised on M&A transactions, served as a principal on both sides of M&A deals, and co-founded and operated a telecom firm. Much of his advisory work has centered around helping family-owned businesses. “My involvement on all sides of strategic transactions gives me a unique perspective, enabling me to identify with the challenges faced by business owners and help them achieve their goals. While business owners may be experts in their industry, that does not necessarily mean they have a full understanding of the process to raise growth capital or sell their company. That is where we come in. I walk them through every step of the process and explain what is happening along the way,” Phillip says. “This is often a lifetime event for them. It’s very rewarding to help them and make a difference.”

 

In 2021, Phillip joined Palm Tree, LLC, and currently works in their Dallas office, carrying on the tradition of utmost client care. A modern M&A advisor, Palm Tree is a hybrid of consulting, accounting advisory, and investment banking.

Phillip was awarded the 2019 Private Equity Deal of the Year ($50-75 million) by The M&A Advisor and the 2022 Cross Border M&A Deal of the Year by Americas M&A Atlas Awards.

 

Phillip holds an MBA from the University of Colorado, a BBA from the University of Texas and FINRA Series 82 and NASAA 63 licenses.
