Robert Brevelle
Robert Brevelle is best described as a charismatic, results-oriented business leader with exceptional engineering skills and an unwavering commitment to customers and investors. With an impressive 20-year track record of success in multiple domestic and international markets, Robert is regarded as one of the top innovators and entrepreneurs.
His contributions have been recognized and celebrated by industry and professional societies. He was named a Top 10 Angel Investor in both Dallas and Silicon Valley, showcasing his significant impact on startup ecosystems; was recipient of the Innovation Award from NASA, and Engineering Excellence from Raytheon and Leonardo; was featured on the cover of the Dallas Business Journal; received Leadership and Community Service awards from IEEE and NMA; and held the esteemed position of Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Intellectual Ventures, a $6 billion invention firm with over 90,000 patents. Earlier in his career, Robert was recognized as the Youngest Executive in a Fortune 500 Company.
These experiences have made him a highly sought-after executive, board member, mentor, and investor. In addition to serving as CEO of Coulee Capital Inc, a leading alternative asset manager, Robert serves on the board or advisory committee of firms specializing in venture capital, private equity, aerospace, defense, communications, remote sensing systems, agritech, and fintech.
Robert's career has been marked by two pivotal points that have shaped his trajectory. Firstly, during his tenure as the executive staff officer for L3Harris, a Fortune 500 Company, he worked directly for the president, which exposed him to complex issues and processes across R&D, finance, legal, and investor relations, paving the way for his growth as a leader. Secondly, as the president and executive director for the board of directors at Teledyne e2v, a FTSE 250 company, Robert was instrumental in mergers and acquisitions in Europe and Silicon Valley. This experience kindled his passion for innovation and entrepreneurship, as he worked closely with startups and emerging technologies. During this period, he earned awards for innovation, quality, and supplier-of-choice from tech giants Carl Zeiss, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin.
Robert has been actively involved in numerous successful tech startups. He has been a trailblazer in angel investing, serving as a fund manager, syndicate lead, and mentor. He invested in, and was later made partner and the managing member, of the original accelerator in Texas and the first B2B accelerator in the world, which received a national Top 10 ranking. Recognized as a lifelong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace, he served as co-chair of the Texas Instruments Diversity Council, was an early sponsor of the Veterans Job Mission and chairman of the Raytheon Diversity Council Asian Initiative, and a judge and selection committee member for multiple university scholarship programs.
Robert is a life member of: National Guard Association, Assoc. of the US Army, Order of the Engineer, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Assoc., Leesville High School Century Club, Assoc. of Old Crows, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and a founding sponsor of the National Museum of the US Army. Robert holds certifications in Project Management, Lean, and Six Sigma. He is a credentialed PMP from the Project Management Institute. He holds a BS in computer science and engineering, summa cum laude, and an MS in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology; an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas; and completed postgraduate work and professional executive programs in finance, law, and leadership at Southern Methodist University and Cornell University.
